Stella's Info...

I am already spayed and up to date with shots.

Stella's Story...
Stella is a very mellow, well-trained dog. Stella was found running loose and brought in to us. Stella walks very well on a leash and knows how to sit and shake. Stella is also incredibly loving. This gentle giant just wants to be loved and will lean on you as soon as you pay attention to her. She seems to be a very even-tempered dog. Though we haven't explicitly dog-tested her, she hasn't shown any dog aggression so far. Stella would be a wonderful, easy pet for any household looking for a giant lovebug.

You can visit me during open hours, which are Monday through Friday 9am-3pm and Saturdays from 10am-1pm or email to make an appointment for another time. Please see our website at www.palspets.net for adoption fees and other information!

The PALS shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stella, a Grinnell Mastiff dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mastiff for sale in Grinnell, or seeking a Mastiff dog from a breeder in Grinnell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grinnell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grinnell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mastiff breeders who help with Mastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grinnell paves the way for another one to be saved.
