My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This stunning boy with the gorgeous blue eyes is Yuki. He was very reluctantly surrendered to Kiko’s care by a family who loved him very much but could no longer keep him due to family members having developed severe allergies. Yuki’s breed mix is somewhat of a mystery—he had been purchased as a mix of Husky and Pomeranian, and was supposed to grow to 25 pounds. Now an adult at 2.5 years of age, he weighs in at 60 pounds. Based on his size, appearance, and certain characteristics, our best guess is a mix of Australian Shepherd or Border Collie and Husky. Yuki is friendly with people and was used to going to the dog park, where he got along well with other dogs but would not always come when called. Besides being a bit of a puller on leash, which his foster is working on with the help of an Easy Walk harness, Yuki does not appear to have any major negative behavioural issues. The youngest child he lived with was 8 years old, he is not a big barker, and he travels well in the car. Yuki would make an excellent pet for an active family in a home with a fenced backyard who will also take him on the walks that he loves so much. Please complete an adoption questionnaire at www.kikodogrescue.ca if you are interested in our handsome Yuki. We anticipate receiving a lot of applications for him so please be patient; we may not even have a chance to reply to everyone. Yuki is expected to be at the upcoming adoption day in Hudson on Saturday, December 3. Details with a link to a map are available on our website.
