Watson

Age: 3 months old

Breed/Weight/Coloring: Watson is a tan terrier mix, he will be about the size of a cocker spaniel. At the moment he weighs 15 pounds but will probably be a 25-30 at most when full-grown. He has scruffy tan fur with a white chest and paws.

Rescue story: Watson was rescued in the inner city of Watts. He had been crossing the street back and forth when a local teacher at a nearby elementary school spotted him and brought him to safety. After many flyers, sadly nobody claimed him and he was brought into rescue. Watson currently lives in a foster home with multiple dogs awaiting his forever family to adopt him.

Personality: Watson is the ultimate puppy. He is silly, rambuctious, curious, playful, loving, and a very social creature who loves the interaction with humans and other dogs. He loves to romp around in an open yard in hopes of finding a yummy stick to chew apart or just explore. He is already attached to his foster dad and likes to follow him around the house or yard being the nosy little puppy he is as the world is a brand new place for just a wee 3 month old. Watson is on the confident side when he meets someone brand new and will gladly engage in some play right away - this is a great sign as it shows he hasnt experienced any sort of mistreatment in his short life. He is a very happy go lucky guy! He is learning the concept of 'potty outside' and is grasping the concept quite nicely although will need reinforcement from his new family. He is also being crate trained at the moment and doing well in that department. Of course we would love to find his future home sooner than later so they can take on all the training and molding a little baby like Watson will need in order to be that perfect familly dog.

Medical: Watson will be neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped in accordance with the adoption agreement. He has no medical issues.

Ideal Home: Since Watson is so young, he would do well in a family that is home more often than not since he is at such a needy and impressionable age. He could also be that "fur baby" to a couple or an individual who is willing to put in the time, attention, and affection that a puppy needs. He will do great with an already existing pet as he tends to follow the older dogs' lead and gets along with them perfectly. He would love a yard to romp around in, dogs or people who will play with him, and plenty of park outings and walks.

Cats/Dogs/Kids: Watson is that typical puppy who will try to play with anyone or anything, that includes a cat. So unless the cat doesnt mind the puppy pester and is really confident, we would say he technically would never hurt a cat but he might be annoying. He is perfect with other dogs, big or small, young or old. He does want to play. He will climb on, lick, gnaw on, and wrestle with children (gently, in a puppy way) so 5 and up is ideal.
