Helix's Story...
Meet Helix! He is one shy sweetheart on the lookout for his loving forever home. Helix is an affectionate boy once he gets to know you. He unfortunately is easily overwhelmed by the world around him and will need lots of patience and love before he'll get comfortable with you. Helix loves having his neck and cheeks rubbed so this is a good way to earn a place in his good graces. Helix will need his beautiful fur brushed regularly to keep him free from tangles. He has lived with cats in the past and could probably live with a really mellow one that will keep him company. Dogs are too much for this nervous little guy. Helix was overwhelmed by the children in his previous home and needs to live with teenagers or adults only. If you would like to get to know Helix for yourself, please come to the front to fill out an adoption application today.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Helix, a Bellingham Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
