Merida's Story...
This gorgeous, adventurous girl is Merida! She is ready for a new adventure with one of her brothers as they are very bonded. Her favorite activities include romping around the house with her siblings and zooming up the cat tower in the foster home. She also LOVES cardboard boxes, and must snuggle in all of them to find the right fit. True to her name, she is very brave and gets along well with the resident dog in the foster home. She has a lot of energy and will need a very active home! Cats can live 15-20 years, so she and her siblings are looking for a long term commitment! If you think Merida and one of her brothers would be a good fit for your household, fill out an application at the front desk!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Merida, a Bellingham Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
