Stella's Story...
This is Stella and she is looking for her new forever home. Stella is a shy lady until you get to know her, but once she warms up to you she is very sweet and affectionate. She will need a patient home with someone who will let her settle in and learn let her gain your trust. Once she knows you she will curl up on your lap and loves getting her chin scratched. Due to her shy nature, Stella would prefer an adult only home or older teenagers that will respect her space. Stella is declawed on her front feet, so she will need to be an indoor only cat and she would also prefer a home without dogs due to the fact that she is unable to defend herself. Stella has lived with other cats in her previous home and should be alright living with another cat. She is a bit on the chunky side, so she would benefit from a low-calorie diet to help her she some extra pounds. If you would like to meet this lovely lady please come to the front desk and fill out an application today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stella, a Bellingham Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
