Aurora's Story...
This exotic looking girl is Aurora and she is looking for a responsible, loving and permanent home. Aurora was surrendered for being too rough with a small dog in her previous home. She is extremely timid around strangers but after a while she warms up to become a very playful, affectionate dog. Aurora would do best in an adult only home. She can't live with cats or small dogs due to her past behavior. She would do best as an only dog in her new home but may be able to live with a dog of similar size if its a perfect match. Auroras previous home said that she is very smart and well behaved. We may require her to be signed up for positive reward based classes depending on you experience. This will really help her with socialization and help her build up her confidence. If you are interested in meeting her, please fill out an application at the front desk.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Aurora, a Bellingham Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
