Facts about Prissy

  • Breed: Maine Coon
  • Color: Gray Or Blue (Mostly)
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Long
Prissy was found near a large facility eating the mulch they had placed around the plants. She was starving and unable to find food. We believe that she was abandoned by her owners thinking that she would be able to survive outside. But sadly she was not able to find food other than the mulch. We trapper her and took her to the vet for immediate medical care because of her emaciated condition. They went ahead and spayed her for us but didn't give us much hope of survival. With the wonderful care of Shadow Cat Advocates she not only survived but has thrived! It has been 5 months since we found her and we finally feel she is ready to move on to her furever home. Prissy is now a very healthy weight with a cheerful loving personality. Prissy is a Maine Coon mix and is estimated to have been born about July 22, 2015.

Prissy has been spayed, she tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV, has been dewormed, and is up to date with all her shots. She requires a home where she will never be declawed, or allowed to go outside.

About Shadow Cat Advocates

About Our Rescue Group...

Shadow Cat Advocates exists to provide assistance to all the abandoned and forgotten cats and kittens that live all around us. We are a 501c3 non-profit and all donations to our organization are deductible to the extent allowed by IRS laws. We have no office expenses, no salaries, and our volunteers all work for FREE and pay their own expenses. Without volunteers, our mission would be meaningless. We are looking for additional volunteers. Are you willing to foster a cat for a short period, become a caretaker, help trap, or assist in one of our fundraising event? Shoot us an email as any help you can offer will be met with a huge THANK YOU! Be sure to go to our web site to find out more about our organization:

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a “store front” as all fostering is done in a home environment. To schedule an appointment to visit the cats or kittens, please give us a call at (571) 408-9626.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption fees vary based on the veterinary care the cat has received prior to adoption. We will do a vet check to make sure the pet(s) you have currently or previously in your home have received adequate and yearly veterinary visits. A lifetime care contract and home visit are part of the adoption process.
