Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Missy was surrendered to the shelter because her family’s home burned in a fire and they needed help. Missy is 6 years old and very well mannered. In her dog kennel she stands quietly, wagging her tail, her eyes following the volunteer with the leash as she waits patiently to be led outside. Because she had been living in an outside pen, Missy got bathed shortly after she arrived, standing calmly in the white tub while she got rinsed, soaped, scrubbed, and rinsed again. When her bath was done and all of that grime had washed down the drain, Missy said “thank you” by gently resting her head on the shoulder of the volunteer who bathed her, melting that volunteer’s heart. Now her black fur shines in the light and Missy feels as soft as new fleece. If you love black labs but don’t want a large dog, Missy may be the smaller package you are looking for, weighing in the 50 lbs or less category.
