Facts about Karla

  • Breed: German Shepherd Dog/Blue Heeler Mix
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn - With Black
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Karla is an adorable dog. She is about a year old. We will be spayed and micro-chipped soon. Karla can go to her forever home prior to spay on a foster-to-adopt contract, and then be adopted after surgery. Karla is a sweet heart. She loves to play and run around, but is also really enjoying cuddling in her foster home right now. As she is young with energy, we would prefer for her to go to a home with a yard. Karla is being fostered with another female dog, and used to live with a male dog. She can sometimes be a bit hesitant when first meeting a new dog, but settles down quickly. She has lived with kids

About Rescue 1 At A Time

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a dog and cat rescue covering Barrie and surrounding area. While our rescue is fairly new, the problem of abandoned pets in need of homes is not. We are purely foster-based, and are always looking for foster homes to help us help animals. Our volunteers are dedicated to helping animals find the loving homes that they deserve.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Call or email to set up a time to come and meet the animals.

Check out the pets on our website, or on Facebook.

Our Adoption Process...

Dogs: $250
Cats: $50
The adoption process involves a brief application and in-person interview where you will meet the pet you are interested in. We will review your application and if accepted, we will invite you to come back and pick up your new family member. We ask that all those who will be living in the home with the pet come in to the shelter for the pre-adoption application process.
