Skylar's Story...
Meet Skylar! He is a 8 month old, 23# very energetic boy!! Skylar is very smart and eager to please :) His foster dad taught him to sit, lay down and stay in a day!! Skylar LOVES to play with other dogs!. He is good with everyone :) Skylar is neutered, up to date on vaccines and HW negative :)

Foster Update: Skylar is a beautiful 8 month to one year old mixed mutt! We believe he is a collie/miniature pinscher mix. Skylar is a spirited and confident boy that loves to play and attaches quickly to people. He is high energy and needs a yard to play in. He plays hard, but loves hard too. Skylar loves to snuggle and always wants to be with you. He is good with kids and other dogs but is a bit too playful for cats. He would be great with another dog who he could play with during the day. He will need someone with an active lifestyle and time to dedicate as he doesn't like to be alone for long periods of time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Skylar, a Manhattan Border Collie/Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Miniature Pinscher for sale in Manhattan, or seeking a Border Collie/Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Manhattan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manhattan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manhattan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Border Collie/Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manhattan paves the way for another one to be saved.
