Bert's Story...
When I first met this family, I noticed that one particular kitten seemed the most brave and curious out of the litter. I said I'll foster that one, he will be fun! The kittens at that time were only a few weeks old, but this one was on the move. I came to name him Bert, his Mom and three kittens all have Muppet or Sesame Street names. Bert has two brothers, Ernie, who I also have, and Gonzo who is being fostered by another volunteer.
Bert continues to be the brave and curious one. I have several adult cats and a dog. Bert made immediate friends with everyone when he was old enough to be taken from his mom along with his brother, Ernie.
He is so sweet and friendly. He'd be an awesome addition to a lot of situations, as he is a pretty fearless little boy! He really is a lot of fun.
He's going on 4 months old now, he's fully vetted, microchipped, and ready to meet his new friends and family! If you'd like to meet Bert, please email Bert is located in Huntsville, AL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bert, a Marietta Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
