Alex's Info...

I am already neutered, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Alex's Story...

Alex is a stray that adopted a family several years ago. Unfortunately they are moving due to medical conditions relating to a child and they could not take him along as they could no longer provide him with a safe outdoor environment. Alex loves to wait at the bus stop for the kids to come home from school. Every now and then he likes to come inside and snuggle in a bed for a couple of hours and then be on his merry way again.

He requires a safe outdoor home where he can roam but has access to food and water twice a day.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alex, a Fredericksburg Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Fredericksburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Fredericksburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fredericksburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fredericksburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fredericksburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
