Maui's Story...
Say hello to king Maui, or Maui for short! This cute little dude came to us from the Stockton shelter. He is just about 10 weeks old and looks like a tiny wolf! Although we're sure he's not ;).

Maui is a playful little pup but calms quickly after a good romp! His favorite activities are playing with his foster sister (Moana), chasing his plush squeaky toys and sunbathing on his foster mama's deck. Maui would be perfect for almost any family/home but may appreciate living with older children (the boise that comes with small children seems to be a bit overwhelming for him). Maui is roughly 4 pounds as of now and should mature around 10-12 pounds.

He is being brought up to date on DHPP vaccines & will be neutered as part of his adoption. You can apply to adopt Maui my submitting the form to adopt. Once received a volunteer will reach out to chat further and schedule a time to meet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maui, a South San Francisco Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in South San Francisco, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in South San Francisco.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in South San Francisco already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a South San Francisco breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in South San Francisco paves the way for another one to be saved.
