Babs's Story...
Hello from the cockpit and your friendly co-captain Babs.

Babs you wingman/woman/dog. She is the go anywhere, do anything, smiling face looking back at you when you're having a bad day. A face that says, "Nawh girl- you look great, let's go get that cupcake" and "of course she thinks you're great look at you - you've never looked better." A face that makes your bad days into good ones. She's a dog friendly, kid friendly, past the puppy stage girl who is looking for family to call her own.

We met Babs at the city run pound - she was just smiling and happy, blissfully unaware of her surroundings. We had a foster available for a puppy - but we left with Babs after she passed her temperament test with flying colors. At around 2 years old, she weighs 46 lbs. We are thrilled to have this shining example of the beauty of rescue. Babs' adoption fee is $500 and will include her spay surgery, microchip, up to date vaccinations, health certificate and transportation from the Memphis are to your area upon adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Babs, a Nyack Australian Shepherd/American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/American Bulldog for sale in Nyack, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Nyack.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nyack already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nyack breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/American Bulldog breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nyack paves the way for another one to be saved.
