Here's what the humans have to say about me:
--Adoption in Progress--
Holly is a curious and affectionate rabbit. She likes spending time with her humans and is interested in the other animals--rabbits and guinea pigs-- who live at her foster home. Different from most buns, she enjoys being held and will even sit in her foster mom's lap for lots of love and pets. Holly can't wait for her daily exercise time when she runs around the house, exploring and playing. She thinks her leafy greens, oxbow pelleted food and timothy hay are so yummy. She especially gets excited for a slice of carrot!
Holly is a special needs rabbit. She is looking for the 'just right' human companion who can provide a safe, caring home and accommodate her different needs. Holly has partial blindness and hearing impairment. She also has permanent head tilt and her right front paw is disfigured. These differences do not prevent Holly from being an active rabbit, though she is unable to detect and run away from danger and she may bump into objects that she cannot see. We are working on helping Holly to become potty trained, but we believe soiling herself may be a ongoing chronic condition. She needs a guardian who can gently clean her bottom and back paws on a daily basis and who can apply ointment to her hocks as needed. Since she does not use her litter box consistently, her human companion will need to clean her habitat frequently.
If you have a big heart as well as the time and space to care for this special girl, please consider applying to adopt Holly.
