I am looking for a good home for this wonderful dog. He is about 7 years old and he is a full blooded American Fox Hound, he is beautiful. His name is Hunter and he belonged to my fiance. She past away last November and she made me promise that I would take care for Hunter, she loved him very much.
She found Hunter roaming around her house so she took him in and turned him in to the Humane Society with hopes they could find the owner. They couldn't find the owner and he was now up for adoption. When Jack heard that she rushed down and got him. He is very gentle and smart. Hunter has one big problem, he was a very abused dog. When Jack got him and we took him to the vet, they found buck shot in him and removed all the bad one that would cause him problems. He also had a left rear leg that was broken and it healed on its own. They said it was OK and didn't want to reset it. He had heart worm and Jack put him through the treatment and he came out fine. You will see rope marks on his nose where his mouth was tied close for long time, you still can see them now. It must have been a man that abused him that bad because now he doesn't trust men, I mean any men. I have had him for over a year now and he still will run from me and I make him very nerves. He is just not happy here, I need to find him a good home with women only. He trust all women and will go to them and let them pet him and do what ever they want with no problem. He is gentle and have never shown me any aggressiveness in all the time I have had him. If I catch him or corner him he just submits and comes with me, he has never tried to bite me.
Please if anyone out there wants a great dog and the house is all women let me know . Thank you

PS I will pay any fees to Adopt a Pet if Hunter is going to a good home..
