Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Sooner's Info...

I am already neutered, a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Sooner's Story...
Sooner is a handsome, young, playful Catahoula/Hound mix in great condition. He is 2-3 years old, weighs 74 lbs, and has short white fur with large piebald markings and very striking pale blue eyes. He absolutely loves playing with children and dogs. With his very soft mouth, he will make a fantastic companion for dog-loving youngsters. Sooner is a typical Catahoula/Hound mix - very interested in following scent trails and wanting to cover a lot of ground during walks. A big bonus for the adopter is that he recently graduated from Basic Commands Training (sit, stay, down, come, heel, off, and no) with a professional trainer at Canine Solutions, a premiere training facility in Lawrenceburg, TN.

Although Sooner is deaf, he responds well to hand signals, and may benefit from a vibration collar to call him across distances. Sooner is learning to heel on leash and responds well to consistent leadership. Due to his size and his "follow-the-nose" tendencies, he requires a large fenced yard and at least one minimum 30 minute walk per day, as well as daily active play time. He is still learning about living in a home, and will need guidance about what and what not to chew on as a house dog. A feeling of security will help with this; he will need a daily schedule he can count on, appropriate toys, plenty of exercise, and crate time that gives him a safe place to be when family is absent. The companionship of other dogs will also be a plus. He is crate-trained and a good car rider. Sooner is neutered, current on shots, and is heart worm negative. (MAJ)
