Looking for a best friend who will also make a great running buddy? Our Hound/Lab Mix may be the perfect match for you! Pepsi is a highly intelligent gal with lots of energy and a zest for life. She’s long and lean, and built to run. An active family with a fenced yard will be ideal to help our girl burn off some of that great energy. Pepsi walks really well on a leash, is completely house broken, and is crate trained in her foster home. She currently lives in a home with two other dogs, and she loves to play with them both. She also gets along with the resident cat. Pepsi will become any active person's new best friend. Pepsi is approximately 2 years old, weighs about 45 pounds, is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm tested. To top it all off, this girl is soooooo smart. She is food and treat motivated, and would do very well in obedience training. She has a lot of life to live and we know someone out there has a lot to give her. Pepsi picks up new commands very quickly. She will be an excellent addition as she has a little something for everyone! However, a home without younger children may be best for Pepsi as she tends to be a little nervous when meeting new people. Smart as she is, she also has a sassy side. That is the joy of Pepsi! Pepsi will do best with an experienced and assertive pack-leader to teach her the new rules in her forever home. Pepsi was rescued by ITV when her former guardians could no longer care for her. Pepsi is ready now and anxious to start her new chapter in life with someone who can love her for the rest of her life. Submit an application for approval at ITVRescue.org and you can start preparing to adopt Pepsi now. She may not be a Coke, but we know you'll have a Pepsi AND a smile on your face as soon as you meet her!
It Takes A Village Canine Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) dog rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless dogs irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, animal control, trainers, and boarding facilities, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, black dogs and other hard-to-place dogs.

Our Adoption Process...
We require all adopters to complete an application and pay an adoption fee. Adoption fees vary, but are usually $150 to $175. We may do a vet reference check and/or home visit.
