Wrigley's Story...
Hi My name is Wrigley. If you want a little canine companion that is a real cutie pie, then I am your guy. I am an 8-month-old Yorkie weighing about 7 lbs. Hey ladies you could even carry me around in your purse if it is one of those big ones. If you want to know how sweet I am just give my foster mom Martha Ronske a call (678-923-5219) and she will tell you all about me. Hugs, Wrigley.
We prefer a home with children over the age of 5 who will be able to assist in the pet’s care. All of our dogs are placed as indoor family pets. No electric fences, please. Please visit our website to learn more about our rescue at www.bigcanoeanimalrescue.org and click on WANT TO ADOPT? Or go directly to the adoption form below.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wrigley, a Big Canoe Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Big Canoe, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Big Canoe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Big Canoe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Big Canoe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Big Canoe paves the way for another one to be saved.
