Madison's Story...
Smoky and Madison are a pair that met here in the rescue. Madison was part of a group of five that were rescued by a gentleman, from a friends apartment. Their owner unexpectedly went into the hospital, leaving behind his chinchillas...but no one knew they were there for a little while. They did suffer from lack of food and stress-induced fur chewing, but that has all cleared up since their time here. Madison is pretty and healthy, and a little on the shy side...but that is because she is so young.

Smokey is a mother chin who was living with her daughter. Unfortunately the daughter passed away leaving Smokey friendless. When introduced, these two bonded instantly! Smokey has helped Madison become more confident and they have been wonderful together ever since.

These girls will be a great addition to most families, including a first time adopter. They are eager to please and gaining trust with people very quickly! They LOVE to eat!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Madison, a Lindenhurst Chinchilla was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chinchilla for sale in Lindenhurst, or seeking a Chinchilla from a breeder in Lindenhurst.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lindenhurst already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lindenhurst breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chinchilla breeders who help with Chinchilla rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lindenhurst paves the way for another one to be saved.
