Meet CALLIE!
Callie is an approximately 6 month old, currently 20 pound, spayed mix breed (looks labrador retriever and maybe shar pei blend?), found at a construction site in South Texas. The workers fed her, but once the building was done, she had no one to care for her. She is an active, typical puppy who would benefit from having another canine playmate. She is smart and would likely do well in a puppy class. She can be somewhat submissive at first around strangers, but warms up once she settles in. She barks at the cats in her foster home. Does great in a crate, and is progressing in house training to do her business outside. She is up-to-date on vaccinations, is micro-chipped, and comes with a health certificate. Preferred home has a fenced in yard, another doggy friend, and due to her high energy, no children under 6 please. Callie is currently in a foster home in San Antonio TX.

Local adopters must meet same requirements as out of state adopters.

Adoption fee is $170, and transport fee to the East coast is $185. Dog may be flown also, if desired, at airline rates. Contact Teresa at teresakopacki@gmail.com for an application or for additional information, or call Michelle at 210-535-5480.

About Lytle Animal Care & Control NY

About Our Shelter...

We are a small group of volunteers that are trying to help our dogs get forever homes on the East Coast. We have helped 200 dogs find homes in the East. We have virtually become no-kill because of this effort. The City pays for to full-time Animal Control Officers and one Part-time Director. The medical care and spay/neuter fees are all donated or covered by our adoption fees. We will do any specific testing on a dog for the adopter and home they will be traveling to.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our dogs are in a facility in Texas. We will pull them into foster care when they are adopted.

Our Adoption Process...

We are a small organization and the application process is run by Volunteers. They call references, call your vet and do a criminal background check and an interview. This process can take a couple of days. We will get back in touch as soon as we can to answer all your questions. Our adoption fees are 170 for adult dogs and 200 for puppies. The transport fee is 235 and that is paid directly to the professional transporter.
