This handsome little fella is Bert. Bert is a 4-6 year old Double Dapple Dachshund. Bert was surrendered with his friend, Zoe to a local animal shelter through no fault of his own. Unfortunately Bert was born with an underdeveloped eye, so he does not see well out of that one eye. He was also born deaf. Despite this, Bert is an awesome boy. He doesn't let his "handicaps" slow him down at all. He can be on the shy side when he meets new people, but he loves to cuddle! Bert does perfectly with dogs of all sizes and cats. He is fine with kids as well, but older more calm kids would be best for him. He is working on his housebreaking. He uses puppy pads now and does perfectly on them. Bert wants nothing more than to be by your side as often as possible. And he really loves to cuddle under the blankets with his favorite person!
Bert is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested and microchipped. His adoption fee is $200.
