Loki is a three-year-old tiger and Maine Coon mix male cat. Tanks is a three year, three-month-old brown and black tiger mix. Both boys were found outside in the patio areas of an apartment complex. A kindly resident knew that the family that owned these boys moved out, leaving the boys to fend for themselves. Loki and Tanks were outside for a month, frightened and hungry, until the resident could coax them close enough to scoop them up to bring them to us. Loki is a beautiful boy, with a rich coat and the features of a Maine Coon. Tanks, not to be outdone, cranks up the cuteness dial, with beautiful tiger markings. Loki is a bit more reticent than Tanks, but it seems Loki takes the lead often, and perhaps that allowed his survival and Tanks while outside. Tanks is very easygoing, and follows Loki. Both boys are social, and have the makings of a pair of great couch potato cats!
At PAAWS RI, all of the cats that come into our care are spayed/neutered, receive a rabies vaccination, distemper vaccinations, de-worming, flea treatment, microchipping, and testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV.

Our shelter is located in the Care for Animals veterinary hospital, at 2944 Post Road, Warwick, RI 02886. You are welcome to visit during the following hours: Monday and Tuesday 8 am to 5 pm, Wednesday 9 am to 7 pm, Thursday 8 am to 5 pm, and Friday 9 am to 3 pm. We have an Adoption Open House every Saturday from 10 am to 12 noon – hope to see you there! We're also happy to set up appointments.
