Domestic Medium Hair - Blue; Male; 3 years; 11 ¾ pounds
Esteban is a Latin lover who loves his human and feline friends. He purrs sweet nothings when you are in the room with him as he lures you toward his kennel. Once unlocked, he will leap out of his kennel to charm you with his handsome looks and alluring eyes. Esteban loves to be brushed, and we think it might be to keep his mane looking fierce. This gorgeous blue boy would love a kitty girlfriend, as he tries to kiss every cat who answers his calls and comes up to his kennel. If you seek a beautiful, lover of a cat, look no more. We think Esteban may do well with older children, cats and maybe even dogs. Please call the shelter at (760) 753-6413 with any questions regarding Esteban or the adoption process.
Business hours are Wednesday – Monday; 11 am to 5 pm. Closed Tuesdays.
An adoption application can be found on our website.

About Rancho Coastal Humane Society

About Our Shelter...

Rancho Coastal Humane Society (RCHS) was formed in 1961 by a group of hardworking volunteers, led by animal lover Maria K. Lloyd. The goal was
and continues to be to promote the human/animal bond, find permanent homes for unwanted animals, and to educate the public about pet overpopulation and responsible pet ownership.

In the nearly 40 years since our inception, RCHS has grown from a small facility run by volunteers to a professionally managed humane society that provides quality shelter care, adoption services, education programs and an animal safehouse for the survivors of domestic violence.

The newest program at RCHS is the Second Chance Program. RCHS will take dogs, cats and rabbits from the three county shelters (and other municipal shelters) who are unable to hold their animals very long as they must constantly make room for the seemingly never ending influx of unwanted animals. Since we are able to keep our adoptable animals longer (because RCHS is a limited admission shelter), these dogs and cats are given a "second chance" for adoption.

The Rancho Coastal Humane Society is a non-profit, 501(c)3, charitable
organization. We are not tax supported, nor are we funded by any government agency.

Our Adoption Process...

One of RCHS' main goals is the adoption of animals to permanent, loving homes. RCHS' adoption process is tailored to find the best match between pets and people.

HERE ARE THE STEPS YOU'LL GO THROUGH IN THE ADOPTION PROCESS:

Before you can see (that is, pet, cuddle, walk, and get to know) any animal you've seen in our kennels, we'll ask you to complete some paperwork. This paperwork must be completed first in order to minimize stress for you and the animals. Our process includes asking questions in order to make the best match between animal and owner. We like to gain a better understanding about your expectations, past experiences, and current animals at home.

Once all the paperwork has been satisfactorily completed, you may handle and visit the animal you're interested in. You'll have a counseling session with a knowledgeable member of our staff who will fill you in on the history and needs of that animal, and his feeding and exercise requirements. You can ask your counselor any questions about spaying or neutering, housetraining, obedience training, scratching (in cats), veterinary care, how to deal with fleas and ticks, and anything else you can think of.

You will be asked to sign an adoption contract and pay an adoption fee. We will provide you with a list of all items and medical treatments that are included in your adoption fee.
