Moe's Story...
Moe was found as a stray up in the Botkins area and was brought down to the Animal Shelter. Moe is a pretty bouncy dog with a happy personality. He loves to be around people and is happy to meet who ever. His favorite thing to do though seems to be exploring the yard, which would explain the hound mixed in. Moe is currently looking for the chance to find his new forever home. The Shelby County Animal Shelter is open Monday-Friday from 9-5 and Saturday from 9-1.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Moe, a Sidney Coonhound/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Coonhound/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Sidney, or seeking a Coonhound/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Sidney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sidney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sidney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Coonhound/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Coonhound/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sidney paves the way for another one to be saved.
