Tucker's Story...
Adopter needed for this handsome fella!
Tucker is a well mannered middle aged gentleman that needs a home without small children, older kids 12+ would be ok. He lost his home due to a new baby that made him very nervous. He is 6 yrs old, Redbone Coonhound and Saint Bernard mix. He is approximately 100lbs, is UTD and neutered. He previously lived with another dog and did well on his trainer evaluation, but owners report that he can be a bit reactive on leash. He has nice leash manners and takes food gently. He's a true gentle giant!
Email caredogvolunteers@gmail.com if you can help!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tucker, a Acushnet Redbone Coonhound/St. Bernard dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Redbone Coonhound/St. Bernard for sale in Acushnet, or seeking a Redbone Coonhound/St. Bernard dog from a breeder in Acushnet.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Acushnet already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Acushnet breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Redbone Coonhound/St. Bernard breeders who help with Redbone Coonhound/St. Bernard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Acushnet paves the way for another one to be saved.
