Nena (her original name) was microchipped when she was picked up as a stray. The owner was contacted and decided just to abandon her at the shelter.

She is a VERY SWEET dog - friendly and playful. She loves people, kids and other dogs. She is good with cats.

She was diagnosed with keratoconjunctivitis (KCS), also known as "chronic dry eye syndrome." Her body doesn't produce enough natural tears to keep her corneas healthy. Her previous owner didn't provide any treatment, so her corneas were in bad shape. She will need to be on eye medications for the rest of her life - a special ointment 2x a day and frequent artifical tears (4-5x a day). The special ointment is a little pricey, and Nobody's Perfekt Dogs may be able to help with the costs.
