Pearl (Monterey)'s Story...

Pearl is an easy going beauty who is 13 years old, 14” at the shoulders and weighs 20 pounds.  She is a Rat Terrier.

Pearl is crated trained, but really prefers to sleep on the bed, loves to go for rides in the car, likes to sit and watch TV, is good with kids, cats and other dogs, and is just a pretty pleasant girl to have around.

She would be a great companion for a senior or retired couple.  She has received dental care and is in good shape, but need to eat soft food now.

If you would like to meet Pearl, or would like to know more about her, please contact Lynn at lynnbonham1@gmail.com.  Or go to our website at www.russellrescueca.com to fill out an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pearl (Monterey), a Los Angeles Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
