Kyra's Story...
Today's Featured Friday Pet is Kyra!
Kyra is a sweet and sprightly senior that's been patiently waiting for second chance at love since November. With her distinctive "ticked" tabby coat and slender build, Kyra looks to be part Abyssinian, who are known for being very curious, intelligent and people-oriented kitties. Kyra loves a good chat, and would be thrilled to discuss current events over your morning cup of coffee, or tell you all about her day when you get home. Ideally, she'd prefer to be receiving pets for the duration of these chats.
Kyra is around 9, and lost her home when her owners moved and couldn't take her along. She's in great health and spirit (especially if she could get out of that cage!) Kyra doesn't like to share her people with other cats, but she did live dogs and should do fine with respectful canines. Children of all ages are A-OK. If you'd like a cat that's calm but still has personality and charm to spare, please come meet Kyra! She's at PetSmart in Hendersonville and is hoping her new family is coming very soon! For more info, please give us a call at 828-6845-7107 or stop by PetSmart to meet her. Please share!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kyra, a Hendersonville Abyssinian cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Abyssinian for sale in Hendersonville, or seeking a Abyssinian cat from a breeder in Hendersonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hendersonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hendersonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Abyssinian breeders who help with Abyssinian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hendersonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
