My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Redemption Rescue is a Fairfield County based German Shepherd Rescue with some amazing dogs looking for families of their own. Fully vetted and temperament tested to be sure that they are the perfect fit for their safe and loving forever family and home. Allow us to introduce truly AMAZING Remington, who found himself homeless and alone, spotted for weeks in the woods, struggling to survive. Remington's little grey on the muzzle we believe is due to stress because we believe him to be only 4-5 yrs old and he has become less grey while in our loving care. Remington is truly a special boy that is incredibly sweet, gentle, calm and friendly demeanor that is confident yet gives way and is non-confrontational to more dominant dogs. Remington loves people and gets along beautifully with all other we have introduced him to. We have not be able to test him with cats as we have no cats to test with here. Remington has a truly wonderful temperament, that can be playful yet settles beautifully and loves nothing more then to snuggle up on the sofa, preferably in your lap and we believe his gentle, loving and affectionate nature would make him a great therapy dog with a little training. He has proven to be very smart and quick to learn with a positive gentle training style given that he has already basic commands including learned sit, down, paw, other paw, wait, easy and even walks well on a leash. Remington has lower energy level but can exhibit burst of true exuberance and loves to go for car rides and do whatever you are doing and go where you are going, Given that he was found wandering for weeks we will be very careful where he goes as we fear he may be prone to wonder-lust If board or left alone in a fenced yard, as he really is impressively athletic and can jump very well. If you think you have what it takes to be Remington's perfect new family, please PM me or call us at 203-830-9774.
