My tattered coat told my tale. My pleading eyes spoke volumes of my desperation.
Please hear my story.
I was once very young and much loved. I played in sunbeams without a worry. My nights were filled with warm laps and kind hands. My fur was long and plush. The world was a kind and generous place.
I am just a cat, so don't understand the world of humans. I will never know what happened to my world, but things changed. I no longer had a home or a family of humans.
I wandered through the city eating anything I could find and seeking shelter from weather under cars and bushes.
Eventually my desperation led me to begging. I guess my situation may have saved me. A human picked me up and told me she would take me to a place where I would be fed and sheltered.
So, I'm here. AvertingCatastrophe has rescued me and the people here love me and tell me I'm beautiful. My tummy is full and I have a clean blanket. But it's not like my own family with my very own place.
I'm asking you to look at me.
My coat is getting shiny and full. My body under the fur is filling out. And the beauty I once had is returning. I'm just waiting for a home and love to bring it forth.
I'm here. I know you see me. I'll wait for you to come.
