Ginger's Story...
Hi, my name is Ginger.

I am a very gentle taller small dog. I am defiantly house trained, love to play ad according to my Foster mom the best dog EVER, I also do not bark much at all. One bark in 5 days is not to much is it?. If you like me, please call ahead of time so my Foster mom can bring me to the Ark for you to meet me. I am currently under treatment against heartworms. This also indicated that I have to be healed before you can adopt me, but you can still visit and walk me gently and bond until that time arrives.

Please call the Ark between 11am and 4pm Tuesday to Saturday and as for Ginger, that's me!

Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only. We do require a secure fenced-in yard to adopt our

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ginger, a Huntsville Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
