Honey's Story...
She's a super sweetheart, loves people, tolerates small kids pretty well, not fond of larger dogs. I have no idea on cats. Food motivated, can easily get on tables/has mad hops for a doxie mix. Weighs probably around 14-15# nursing (though we haven't officially weighed her so could be off lol, shes between my 10lb / 20lb doxies). I would not say she is fully potty trained but I think someone who could concentrate on her could get her there fairly quickly. Not crate trained, but again I think a little more work (not with 6 puppies trying to nurse on her) she'd be fine. She will be acaibke for adoption dec. 23rd when all her pups are old enough to leave.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Honey, a Manhattan Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Manhattan, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Manhattan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manhattan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manhattan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manhattan paves the way for another one to be saved.
