Gumbo's Story...
Gumbo has such a wonderful hound dog face.  His sweet sad eyes will melt your heart even when he has been a bad boy.  He was an owner turn in and had spent all 2 years of his life outside so we have been working on potty training with a lot of success.  He has not had an accident in a few weeks!. He is a definite love bug and loves to sit next to you and be with you all around the house.  He is a large size beagle at 16 inches and 40 pounds.  Gumbo wouldn’t mind having someone to play with since he is still a youngster with plenty of energy and he loves going on walks, but he would do best with lots of human companionship.  He is very much a people dog! If you want a loving loyal companion who thrives on belly rubs Gumbo could be your boy

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gumbo, a Houston Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Houston, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
