George is a 3 yr old lab/border collie mix, with a troubled past. George was rescued from a high kill shelter. He was reportedly feral and is extremely timid. George has been with BGSDR for some time, working with various trainers. George has made great strides and is obviously progressing to the point of seeing him find a forever home. George is neutered, fully vaccinated, housebroken, crate trained and walks well on a leash, in a safe environment. He is frightened by loud noises and sudden movements. George is in need of a strong handler, who has experience working with timid dogs. He appears non cat reactive and does great with other dogs. Because he is so timid, he would be nest suited in a home with no young children.
APPLICATION AND HOME VISIT REQUIRED ADOPTION FEE $150
BLUEGRASS SENIOR DOG RESCUE ONLY FOSTERS/ADOPTS DOGS THAT ARE FULLY VACCINATED INCLUDING RABIES AND BORDATELLA AND ARE SPAYED/NEUTERED. ALL ANIMALS ARE MICROCHIPPED AND THE RESCUE PAYS THE REGISTRATION FEE. APPLICATION AND HOME VISIT REQUIRED.
Bluegrass Senior Dog Rescue recruits individuals to foster our dogs on a temporary or long term basis. The rescue pays for all of the dog’s veterinary care and monthly preventatives for the dog while in foster care.
NOTE-Fosters must live within 100 mile radius of Georgetown KY.
