Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bella Marie (aka Sweetie) is a 2 year old Papillon/Long-Haired Chihuahua Mix (our best guest). She weighs about 12 lbs. Some little facts about this darling girl are:
- Hates cats! (no cats at all please)
- House-trained
- Probably fine in crate (though very non-destructive so she isn't crated in foster care)
- VERY LOVING
- Likes to be around her people and sleep in a bed at night.
- Dreams of being a full-time lap dog
- Yes, she would be great with a senior
- Yes, she DOES shed!
- Very quiet unless she sees a cat!
- Fenced yard not required but would to get used to going potty on a leash (she currently has a fenced yard).
She is "good" (not great) with other dogs. If they are low-key, non-puppy and give her her own space, she is great. She's fine out and about in public, pet stores, etc. She prefers to sleep alone from other dogs (though by your side). Even in resting, she is picky on which dogs are allowed to touch her. If they touch her, she does a growl (no teeth). If a dog were to snap at her for growling, she will retaliate. She is currently fostered with several dogs and there has never been an incident. All the dogs seem to know she is harmless and honestly just ignore her noises! None of them have ever gotten mad at her.
Sweetie is absolutely beautiful and simply wants to be your companion. She'll stay by your side at all times, snuggle with you and keep you company.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application located at
https://dogsunlimited.wufoo.com/forms/adoption-application-for-dogs-unlimited-rescue/
All Dogs Unlimited Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on all shots, and are given a monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Upon adoption, all vet records and any current medications are provided to the adopter.
THE SUBMISSION OF YOUR APPLICATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE AN ADOPTION NOR DOES IT OBLIGATE YOU TO ADOPT. Multiple applications are accepted for any available pet and a home is chosen that is the best match between the available pet and the potential furever family. Your application will be processed as quickly as possible and if approved, a home visit would be scheduled. No adoption is final until an Adoption Agreement is presented and agreed to by both parties.
Our goal is to find the right match of our dogs to their new family so all involved are furever happy! Questions: email adopt@dogsunlimitedrescue.org
And THANK YOU for considering a rescue dog for your family!
