Black Jack's Story...
Look at this good-looking boy! Black Jack was found dumped on a rural road with a dirty blanket to keep him warm. A good Samaritan saw him and brought him home where she realized one of his ears & a paw were injured and needed medical attention. Our guess is he was attacked by another animal while trying to figure out where he was and what happened to the family he loved. Luckily, he found his way to DRDR and with the help of his new guardian angel & DRDR, his ear and paw are good as new. Black Jack is approximately 8 months old, weights 36 lbs, is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, crate trained, house trained, and learning simple commands. We think he is a Lab/Shepherd mix and has the sweetest temperament. Black Jack is a cuddler and the perfect size to snuggle on the couch, bed or in your lap! He is eagerly awaiting for his fur-ever family to find him! For adoption information, do to our FAQ page on the website. You can also submit an application online via the adoption page. www.dirtroaddoggiesrescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Black Jack, a Gillsville Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Gillsville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Gillsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gillsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gillsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gillsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
