My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ted is an awesome dog! He is super sweet, gentle, loving and smart! He has adjusted to a busy household so very quickly, it's almost uncanny! He is very adaptable and easy going. He lives with four other dogs including a senior Beagle and gets along with everyone really well. He loves to play with the other dogs but leaves the senior dog alone, other than an occasional nose to nose greeting. He has been introduced to cats and was curious about them but has for the most part left them alone. He sleeps in a kennel at night and when left home alone, goes in the laundry room with two other dogs. He seems to be a medium energy dog. He likes to go out, play and run but settles down quickly when in the house. He likes to chew and we give him lots of toys, etc and so far he has not chewed anything he wasn't supposed to. He is doing very well with potty training. I cannot say enough what a good dog Ted is and he would be a wonderful dog for just about anyone.

Ted is estimated to be 11 months old and 50 lbs. Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dogs make up (we don't know who mom and dad are!), we are just guessing on breed and size when grown.

All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They have all had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer, are treated for fleas, have a heartworm test if over 6 months old and are up to date on a heartworm preventative.

Please note that because we require a home visit at the time of adoption we can only place animals in homes within a 60 mile radius of Minneapolis. If you are interested in meeting this dog please fill out the pre-adoption application on our website at http://www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and we will get back to you to arrange a meeting in the foster home.

We also have an Adoptable Dog Meet & Greet on Saturday January 7, 2016, at Fetch Delivers Warehouse, 783 Harding St. NE. Suite 150, Minneapolis, MN 55413, from noon - 2 pm. Occasionally dogs cannot make it to the Meet & Greet, therefore feel free to verify if your dog of interest is able to attend. Please bring a copy of your pre-adoption application.
