Ned's adoption donation is $495 which helps us to cover the, neutering shots, bordetella (kennel cough), rabies, vet examination, heat worm prevention and flea/tick prevention and does include transport.

Ned is fostered in Tennessee and will travel to his new family once he has been adopted. We use a weekly pet transport, PETS, LLC, to take the dogs to MD, VA, PA, NJ, NY, CT, VT.

***Ned is heart worm positive but is healthy and not showing any symptoms from the heart worms. Rather than putting him through the heart worm treatment that is dangerous, we are choosing to keep him on a monthly heart worm prevention, such as HeartGard. If given consistently, at the end of 18 months, Ned should be heart worm free. The HeartGard kills the baby heart worms before they can become adults and the adults die off naturally. This is a much safer, gentler method than having the immiticide injected into the heart.

Our primary source of funding comes from this adoption donation. This donation allows us to rescue other dogs in danger of being put to sleep, injured or sick dogs and dogs that have never known the comfort of a home.

Thank you for considering one of our rescue dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ned - look at his face!, a Stamford Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise for sale in Stamford, or seeking a Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in Stamford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Stamford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Stamford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise breeders who help with Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Stamford paves the way for another one to be saved.
