Pumpkin's Story...

Pumpkin or affectionately known as “Plumpkin” around his foster home is a bit of an epicure (aka he really, really likes food) who would gladly consume more than he needs. Pumpkin is an active guy who likes to be picked and carried. He is healing from a broken hip, but it isn’t slowing him down and only a minor limp gives away the old injury (which shouldn’t cause any issues down the road). A well-rounded gentleman, Pumpkin really enjoys playing with other cats and has lived with a child.

Pumpkin is neutered and will come with all his vaccinations, dewormed, flea-treated, microchipped and with 6 weeks of complimentary pet insurance.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pumpkin, a Kingston Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Kingston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Kingston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kingston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kingston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kingston paves the way for another one to be saved.
