My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Major came to us with the name Damon, but he seems more like a “Major” to us, maybe because of his significant presence, so we’re calling him Major Damon for now.

He is a Malamute/shepherd born in September 2010. He’s gentle, playful, loves exploring, loves being outside, and is food-motivated which makes him easily trainable. He loves other dogs and kids. We aren’t sure about cats; he is currently stalking a muskrat on his foster’s property.

With that glorious coat, you won’t be surprised to learn that he needs regular brushing. He’s a “working breed” so he also needs regular exercise, including mental exercise like games and tricks. He wasn’t getting that exercise previously, so he’s a little overweight right now, but he’s working it off.

Major has no temperament or behaviour issues.
