Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Misha’s adoption fee is $350.
Misha is a seven year old Terrier mix. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and micro chipped, and she weighs about 15 pounds (she is a bit overweight). She has a beautiful face with pointed ears and glowing eyes.
Misha previously lived with a family and was obviously well taken care of and loved. This is evident in her very affectionate nature and her affinity for easily becoming attached to someone new. However it takes time for her to become comfortable in a new environment and at first will be somewhat nervous. But she soon settles in and will follow you around as she becomes more attached.
Misha loves to cuddle beside her people and be petted or have her tummy rubbed. She has this endearing habit when she is sitting beside you on a blanket of worming her way under the blanket until she is completely covered whereupon she is perfectly happy in her new cocoon. She will also do this in her crate at night. She has a favourite toy a stuffed dragon that she loves to play with and take with her into her small bed. Currently at night she sleeps in her crate in the foster’s bedroom, but will be equally if not more so willing to sleep on the people bed.
Misha is completely house broken and will let you know when she needs to go out by going to the front door and/or by twirling in circles. She likes to go for walks and will even run a bit if her owner is so inclined. However she is not overly fond of the cold weather.
Misha is best suited to a quiet adult home that is not an apartment or a condo as she will bark when left at home alone. With further training this may cease. She should also be the only animal in her new home, and needs to be introduced to other dogs very slowly, as she tends to become dominant with other small dogs (we’re not sure how she would be with larger dogs or cats). With time and proper training she may become more comfortable with other dogs.
Misha becomes quickly attached, and will follow that person around from room to room. We are working on teaching her to sit and stay and to become more comfortable being alone. She learns quite quickly – she’s quite smart and has a willingness to learn. Above all Misha is very affectionate and loving.
