Hey Y'all!
My name is Louie. I am 16 lbs and a year old, so I won't get much bigger in size. When I first came into the RARE program I was a little afraid of what would happen to me. I had always been beaten up on by the other dogs and people in my previous family. I was very thankful to join RARE. They have promised me that we would family for me that would treat me like a prince and shower me with love and attention and I believe them!
Have you ever seen a dog "smile" before with their teeth? Well....I can do that! I get really excited and my lips curl up like I'm smiling! I assure you, I'm not baring my teeth, it's actually called a "submissive grin". RARE can tell you more about it if you would like to apply for me!
I would like to add that I am good with other dogs, cats and children. I prefer smaller dogs like me, but I can get along with most dogs. I loved to run around the fenced yard with my foster sisters and play tag and I am very affectionate with my foster humans. I am quite content sleeping on my dog bed at night. I am perfectly crate trained, but if left alone roaming the house I need to be watched and let out often so I learn your routine and don't have any "pee accidents". As long as I am given ample opportunities to go "potty" outside on a regular basis, I do great! I haven't had a #2 accident in the house since I arrived at my foster home.

**All of our pets are or will be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines and micro-chipped prior to adoption. Please complete the application on our website and we will call you to answer any questions you may have.**
Our adoption fees not only help the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heart-worm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need to be made available for adoption.
