Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please welcome Barney to the 4 PAWS family! He came to us along with his brother Fred (who is already adopted). His shots are up to date, he is neutered and he weighs 38 lbs. Here is what his foster has to say about him:
If you're looking for a sweet companion who is only interested in being with you constantly and cuddling and sleeping with you, then Barney is the dog for you. He has great house manners, although he probably still needs guidance in a new place as to what's his toy and what's not. If he is told "no" one time he understands because he absolutely only wants to please his people. He knows that outside is where he goes to the bathroom. He was leash walked and also let out inside a fence so either works for him. He loves to play with other dogs but prefers his people. He would not be happy spending long periods outside alone and is best as a mostly indoor dog where he will have the company of people and/or other dogs more often than not. He will follow you a lot (sometimes walking between your legs) and is great to cuddle with when sleeping. He will get as close as he can to you in the bed or on the couch and will snore in utter happiness while you sleep or watch your favorite TV show. His only flaw is that he snores a lot…and loudly, but it’s irresistible! Barney is mostly quiet and rarely barks. He is a pleaser and will certainly be a great addition to any family. He is good with the neighborhood kids of all ages and with other dogs (he currently lives with 3 other dogs, a male and 2 females). He's met a cat a few times and seemed a little curious but didn’t chase, but that may depend on the cat. He's been crated when no people are home for his own safety and does fine in the crate; however, he hasn't been destructive when out of the crate. He loves food so he does not free feed. He knows to sit and wait for his treat. This boy is absolutely one of the greatest dogs I've EVER met. Anyone who opens their home, their heart AND their bed to him will not regret it.
If interested in adoption, please complete an online application on 4 Paws Animal Rescue's website at www.4pawz.org. We verify the care of past/current pets. Our goal is to have the very best home for all our dogs and cats and therefore we reserve the right to approve or deny an application based on what we determine is in the pet's best interest.
