Sophia's Story...
Hi there! My name's Sophia, what's yours? I'm around 1 1/2 years old, and am a beagle / shepherd mix. I was recently brought to the shelter when my owner could no longer care for me. I'm a very sweet little girl, and I hope that someone out there will take me home and love me forever and ever! Does that sound like something you could do??

Before I go to my new home I will be up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and will have a microchip. I would do well in a home with kids, and like other dogs too! If you think I would be a good fit for your family, please stop by the shelter to say hi! Shelter hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10-5, Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, and Saturday from 10-2. Come visit!

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophia, a Youngwood Beagle/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Beagle/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Beagle/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
