Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ms. Rita found herself living in a scrap yard with a feral cat colony. We have no idea how she got there but what we do know is that she is out of there! And boy oh boy is she one happy girl. She had severe hair loss from fleas and possible mange but treatment and good food has brought her beautiful red coat back to life. She is completely house trained, great manners, quiet and loves her spot on the couch. If you stop petting her she will paw at you to remind you she wasn't ready for you to quit petting her! Rita has amazed me from the very beginning on how sweet and forgiving she is. She started in the kennel until she trusted and she is now happily on the couch all day. She likes cats and gets along with all sizes of dogs. When she isn't napping she likes a good romp in the yard with the others. She likes everyone she meets. Rita's first 5 years have been rough - are you the family to make the rest of her life a special as she is?
Rita is Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids, Good with Adults, Quiet, Requires a yard, Likes to play with toys, Obedient, Affectionate, Intelligent, Even-tempered, Gentle
Please note that we are a TX based rescue so all of our dogs are located in TX. We work with Rescue Roadtrips to transport our dogs to their new forever homes upon approval of adoption application. The reason we do this is because TX is a high-kill state due to it being over populated with unwanted dogs, but wonderful dogs, and finding homes in other states helps us to save more lives. Our adoption fee for the NE is $355 ($170 adoption and $185 transportation). You can find our application at www.krrtx.org/forms.
