Please meet Yoda, the world's most mellow dog.
Yoda is about 4 years old boy and weighs 12 lb, although he needs to shed a couple pounds.
He was rescued from an overcrowded shelter in Korea days before scheduled euthanasia. Yoda's mild manner and calm nature captured a volunteer's heart who became his foster mom. He was heartworm positive and had bad skin condition at the shelter. Now, he has completed heartworm treatment and has clear skin.
Yoda loves to be around people but never in overbearing way. He is very laid back and easygoing guy. He loves to go for a walk but also knows to wait until his human is ready. He is good with children and gets along great with other dogs.
Yoda is currently staying at foster home in Korea. We plan on bringing him to Northern Virginia in late December upon finding a forever family for him.
Prior to rescue, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization and it takes time for them to learn about life as a family pet. Common skills such as house training and leash walking may often take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, most of these dogs come around rather quickly and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience.
We typically do not adopt to homes with children under 8 years old.
A home check is mandatory before adoption.
Adoption fee is $300.
