My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Penny is 4 years old, and was released to our Lab to Leash program after helping some future vets, vet techs, and animal care workers, learn about basic routine veterinary care and training. She is a total sweetheart and is a typical beagle who loves to run around and play in the yard, and then cuddle up at night. She can be overly submissive at times, so patient adopters (and no small children) would be best for her.

Penny is a vocal beagle so apartment dwellers need not apply! She is cratetrained and is working on her housetraining. She is used to voiding in a fenced in yard, so that is her best option in a forever home. She tends to chase the cats in her foster home, so we would recommend a "no cat" home for her.
She tends to do best with young/adult male beagles as her playmates, and she can be picky with which other females she likes, so we would recommend males in her forever home. We're not really sure how she would do as an only dog. Penny loves to be held and snuggled and would love a more mellow family to be her forever home!
