Bonnie's Story...

Bonnie is an 8lb adorable chihuahua around 2 yrs old. She was very shy when she arrived in Portland but has come out of her shell a little bit while in her foster home. Bonnie enjoy's walks and travels well which is nice if you are looking for a partner to travel with.

She came up with Jojo but they are not as bonded as we first thought. Bonnie would likely be fine being an "only dog", while she enjoys playing chase with Jojo. She also enjoys being the center of attention on her foster's lap!

Every Underdog has been spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, flea/tick treated, de-wormed, and received rabies, bordetella and distemper/parvo vaccines. All dogs have had a recent visit to the vet as well.

Bonnie's adoption fee is $380.00.

We offer a 10% discount for seniors, veterans and students. All of our dogs are in foster homes. We have an adoption application, we check references and visit your home as part of our adoption process.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bonnie, a Portland Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Portland, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
